Located in Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, the prairie features a 3.5 mile paved road with interactive interpretive stops where visitors can view wildlife and learn about its habitat. From mid-September to mid-October, visitors have a good chance of hearing the “bugling” of male elk during mating season.
